Lotus Masks has adopted Kibo the elephant!
On March 28th 2011, thanks to the support of all Lotus Masks customers, we have officially adopted a baby elephant in Kenya named Kibo.
Kibo was trapped in a shallow well dug for cattle, when discovered by two Masaai and rescued by The Amboseli Elephant Research Project at 9:00pm on February 7th 2009. He had obviously been trapped in there for a long time for his ears were extremely sun burnt.

Photographs of Kibo...

Upon being rescued Kibo had sun burnt ears (pictured at approximately 1 month old)

We are happy to report that Kibo's ears are no longer sun burnt (pictured at approximately 2 months old)
