This wood mask is a one of a kind mask, hand carved by the artists of Indonesia.

Special Features: This amazing sculpture is carved from the trunk of a palm tree. The large bulb on the head of the carving is actually the bottom of the palm as it emerges from the ground. The thin portion of the bottom of the tree is the trunk of the tree.

The large mask has three basic parts to it that center around 2 birds. There is a large diving bird carved on top of the head, and a peacock on the bottom of the piece. The face in the center has cut out eyes and mouth, which allow you to see through the piece to the other side. The whole mask is very smooth and natural.

If a light were placed behind the mask light would come out of the eyes and mouth giving a nice visual effect.

Care: The piece is extremely durable. It can be left outside in both extreme cold and extreme hot and humid temperatures. It is also versatile in that you can either stand it up or hang it on a wall. It will help give any environment a natural, exotic, tribal atmosphere.

Hanging Instructions: A wire can be affixed to the back of the piece so it can be securely hung on a solid wall.
