This wood statue is a one of a kind statue, hand carved by the artists of Indonesia.

This amazing sculpture is carved from the trunk of a palm tree. The large bulb on the head of the carving is actually the bottom of the palm as it emerges from the ground. The thin portion of the bottom of the tree is the trunk of the tree.

This piece is unique in that it is very large and has such a pronounced bulb on the top of the head. The face is of a man with large wrinkles surrounding his eyes, which look like ripples in a pond as they expand from a pebble being thrown in. The carvings on the bulb on the head are a continuous design of circles much like decorations used on the island of Timor, Indonesia. The hooked nose gives the piece a dignified expression. He looks to be wearing a necklace and just below that is the carving of a mans face.

Care: The piece is extremely durable. It can be left outside in both extreme cold and extreme hot and humid temperatures. It is also versatile in that you can either stand it up or hang it on a wall. It will help give any environment a natural, exotic, tribal atmosphere.

Hanging Instructions: A wire can be affixed to the back of the piece so it can be securely hung on a solid wall.
