This wood mask is a one of a kind mask, hand carved by the artists of Nepal.
Mahakala masks from Nepal are made to hang in the entrances or insides of Hindu temples and homes. They are used to keep evil forces out of a temple protecting the good forces within.
This black and blue Mahakala has a fierce expression culminated by an open with exposing menacing fangs, beady eyes and eyebrows made of flames. The upper portion of the masks has a large third eye and 5 white skulls.

Hanging Instructions: Two holes are pre carved into the top portion of the back of the mask. String is tied through the holes for immediate hanging.
Care: Dust the piece as needed. You can use a wood cleaner to really make it shine.
