This wood mask is a one of a kind mask, hand carved by the artists of Nepal.
Mahakala masks from Nepal are made to hang in the entrances or insides of Hindu temples and homes. They are used to keep evil forces out of a temple protecting the good forces within.
This bright blue Mahakala has a fierce expression culminated by an open with exposing menacing fangs, beady eyes and eyebrows made of flames. The upper portion of the masks has a large third eye and 5 skulls.
